Christ Coastal Church is honored to have David Hubbs as the pastor. 

Prior to earning a Master of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary, during which time he was a recipient of the highest honor at seminary, the Bruce G. Pierce Award, Hubbs received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Erskine College. It was there he was awarded the Galloway Award, the top business program award. He served during seminary in youth ministry for Westminster Presbyterian and Rockville Presbyterian, both in South Carolina. At the latter, Hubbs was guest preacher, making pastoral visits as well as assisting with worship leadership.

Pastor David was challenged early in life when, at age four, he was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. Having to handle that issue, he quickly learned patience, discipline, and a remarkable sense of compassion for his fellow man. He brings these gifts to his ministry as well as an insightful knowledge and continued thirst for theology. He states, “Years ago, I developed a yearning to pour my life into serving God because of his love for us. My goal is to bear the image of Christ as a shepherd, in preaching theology and offering pastoral care.”
